ABOUT US


The only FLYING TEAM on microlight composed by disabled pilot in the world, representatives of the BARONI ROTTI (Italian Federation of Disabled Pilots). This is WEFLY! TEAM.


The Team was born in 2005 with two airplanes, when Alessandro Paleri and Fulvio Gamba, due to the request of Italian Federation of Disabled Pilots to have someone displaying their activity at National Airshows, started training and after about one month presented a simple display at INSUBRIA AIRSHOW.


Since then it was a long time. We performed with success many times and we got a lot of emotions, though not always good. The sad loss of Fulvio in summer 2008 hit all of us. Our important mission and the magic pleasure of flying gave us the strength to overcome. And we went on.


Here we are now: from season 2009 on, we have been flying with three Texan, presenting a 10 minutes Display, with Voltige Aerial Maneuvers, a kind of synchronized dance of the three planes, that, using a tight Box, will perform all the time in front of  public, very close to them. Before startup and after landing, we'll also pay attention in order to show to people how we can handle without any particular help the airplane at ground.


Training of the Team will take place as usual at our base, Airfield Caposile nearby Venice.

Yes, you can Fly.

This is the message that WEFLY! TEAM want to point out partecipating at AIRSHOWS.

A message to all people, both the disabled and not disabled.


An important, unique message.

Mainly because we are withness of this. To show that also sitting on a wheelchair you can do your preflight check, refuel and manage your aircraft. And once we took off for the Show,  to give exiting, deep.

We are not afraid to show off our disability. It is through that impressive view that our message, our mission may be better exposed, with strenght, directy, leaving a deep feeling on the spectator’s mind. 


Is there any other Display Team or Pilot which is able to gift spectators with this unique experience?


So flying is possible, but how?

Our Federation “BARONI ROTTI” represent various flying school in Italy, where it is possible to get in touch with flying for disabled: see what is an airplane, how it is modified, how to get in and out of it, have a first flying experience...and if you enjoyed all this...start learning to fly. On BARONI ROTTI’s web site there are updated infos with all suitable flying schools, and also medical information, events schedule, and much more...


You wish to fly with us?

WEFLY! partecipates at various Airshows and Events where is possible to have a passenger experience with us. Give a look to Events Calendar and contact us. Otherwise you may come to Airfield Caposile: while not partecipating at airshows, our team trains in Caposile (during the Week-Ends). At the Airfield there is also Erich’s flying school, wich is always operative, both for able and disabled people. Contact him for further informations.
